Get to know us
We are a young couple, Patrik and Barbora, married with two children. We first met in 2011 during a job interview at a private four-star hotel in Brno. Bára applied for a job as a receptionist. As the hotel manager, I was in charge of training and educating the employees. Month after month, word after word, and we didn't just stay in a working relationship.
We were deciding what to do next. The constant rush and bustle of the big city no longer interested us. We were captivated by the northern direction beyond Brno. We were thinking about buying a house and later also about building our own guesthouse somewhere in these parts.
But it didnt work out. Do you want to know why? Do you have time? Then read on for a while.

Bára comes from Wallachia. It was not by chance that we learned that our future Peřina, which is located in the middle of Trojanovice in the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains, is for sale. Bára's grandmother lived in the house with her boyfriend, who owned the house. Years passed and they no longer had the strength to take care of their guesthouse.
Oh, that Patrik...
It took a long time before we made our final decision to buy. Bára fell in love with the house. You could say that it was love at first sight for her. It took me a while. I'm a man after all... The ravages of time have taken their toll on the house from the early 20th century, and the idea of lengthy construction work rather discouraged me. Especially since the house only had electricity.
Finally, here too, we said our piece: ,,Yes!´´

The entire renovation, which also included the necessary landscaping of the garden, took four years. We handled everything remotely, because we still lived in Brno. But at that time we had craftsmen around us who we could rely on. That saved us a lot of time and nerves. But you know what…
Many evenings were spent planning the interior. The good thing was that we succeeded and at least got the final form on paper. It was hard to imagine what would go together and what would fit where. Even though we had everything measured, it was a struggle for millimeters several times.
A little something from the calendar..
We welcomed our first guests with great enthusiasm on June 15, 2018. Until August 2019, we operated only three apartments on the upper floor. We opened the last apartment, Economy 101, which is located on the ground floor, to our guests on August 21, 2019.
We enjoyed a full-fledged hotel business until March 13, 2020, when the first closure due to government regulations due to Covid-19 came. Months of endless uncertainty followed. There was nothing to rely on.
In the fall of 2022, another blow came in the form of increased energy prices. We lost guests. This was most noticeable on dates outside the summer season.
In 2023, or rather in its second half, there is a gradual return of accommodated guests.
We managed to carry out the necessary replacement of the roof covering. A big thank you to our closest family for their financial help. We couldn't have done it without them. At the beginning of autumn, we started repairing the external walls of the guesthouse from the southeast on our own. The Trojanovice municipal council wasted no time at the end of 2023 and on December 18 voted to increase the accommodation fee that we pay to the municipality for each occupied bed and day from the original 15 CZK to 30 CZK. The change came into effect on January 1, 2024, when we already had almost 800 beds confirmed for the following year with reservations and gift vouchers with the original fee amount. Since 2024, due to EU regulations, we have started paying the newly introduced tax on reservations made through foreign portals.
Finally, some positives are coming. During the summer holidays, the occupancy of the apartments was good, so we at least slightly reduced the deficit created by previous troubles and official misdeeds.
And then the floods came. All the guests cancelled their reservations due to concerns for their health and property. Of course, that is understandable. Cancelling the reservations without a fee was the least we could do for them in the situation they were experiencing. And Peřina? Out of nowhere, she was left without a single guest for a whole week.
But we are fighters. We fought through every difficult time and it paid off. We will definitely keep fighting, no matter the challenge!
We believe that now everything will be fine.
We are here for you!
Every day we present and prove to you our knowledge and qualities that we have accumulated since the first day we entered the hotel and tourism industry.
Willingness, a human approach with a family background, quality breakfasts with above-standard service and original equipment of each of our apartments is what makes us unique.
We are still working on improving the outdoor environment, garden, parking and in the future you can look forward to using the sauna, hot tub and natural swimming pond.

We have our regular guests who like to come back to us.
They are satisfied and recommend us to their families and friends.
And that is the thing that drives us forward.
It is you, our guests, who assure us that we are doing it well!
For that, a big thank you!

Patrik
A sociable, smiling, full of life (perhaps also knowledge), young man in body and spirit, sometimes doing whatever he wants.
Since childhood, he has been heading towards the field of hotel management and tourism - these services were the clear choice when choosing a degree. Even though the field of train driver stood in his way for a while, the hotel industry eventually won out.
He is in charge of the reservation agenda, manages the website and the entire advertising campaign for Peřina. He plans the work for the maid. He prepares breakfast and takes care of the guests throughout their stay, which is very important to him. He maintains the house, garden and the immediate surroundings of the guesthouse.
Bára
A friendly young woman who likes to fulfill her dreams because of her determination and spirit for business.
Thanks to her experience with nutritional counseling and her own language school, she found that working with people and children fulfills her. Therefore, she and another colleague took care of making sure that our apartments are clean, that the linen is clean, and that you feel truly at home in our duvet.
She lives with nature. Above all, she likes herbs, useful plants, and is also planning a garden for the guesthouse.
Mia
She has been a member of the team since the beginning.
She helps with the cleaning and seems to enjoy it. She likes to learn new things.
If she is in a good mood and is not at school, she will bring you pastries for breakfast.
Time will tell how she will develop.
Zoe
It's been a long time since she was just in her infancy and she's slowly starting to learn.
We hope that she will also develop a good relationship with our field.
Sometimes she can be quite stubborn.
We look forward to meeting you!
